"A Walk in the Park" is a non-competitive walk; it is not a pledge walk; it is not a race. Rather, it is a fun activity you do with a club, with your family, or all by yourself! It is not only a walk, it is a festival - a treat for your family and you. And, if you attended last year's successful event, you will find many familiar activities plus our headliner concert of local country, rock, and jazz musicians/writers, and local studio musicians performing a variety of great music:
- Live music by "Musicians and Songwriters In Our Backyard" (bring your lawn chairs for the concert; see line-up in schedule of activities)
- Family activities such as train rides, face painting, balloon art, magic show and other kid’s activities
- Optional hiking the trails (moderate and strenuous)
- Food Trucks for purchasing snacks and refreshments
- Jackalope Beer available for purchase
- Luxury automobile display by Andrews Transportation Group
- Vintage Baseball Game

The event brings our community together while supporting a terrific cause - Brentwood Green Space and Smith Park! All donations designated for Smith Park and all proceeds from sponsors minus the cost of the event will go toward amenities and improvements at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park or other parks. So far, Brentwood Green Space has given over $225,000 to the City of Brentwood for Smith Park and other parks for improvements.
