Meet the Staff

Dave Kirby, Announcer
dave kirby

I am so grateful to be part of the team that brings you encouragement and hope each day through YNOP.  To think that I get to be a part of a legacy that stretches more than 3 decades is a real honor.  I think of all the great folks who have made YNOP what it is today, and I'm grateful to be added to that list.

I started in radio when I was 15 years old.  I just wanted to be a DJ.  I worked overnights.  I worked weekends.  I remember having to be home early on Friday nights as a high schooler so I could get up at 3:30 AM on Saturday to sign the small AM station where I worked on the air.  In the years since, I have worked for some great radio stations, and had the chance to not only be a DJ, but to program, manage and consult radio stations in the years since.  Since 1996 I have also owned my own media agency, iBelieve Media, producing and writing for ministries like Compassion International, TWR, HCJB Global and radio stations all over the country.

All that to say, I didn't need to work for another "radio station."  I've been there and done that.  What attracted me to YNOP was the heart for ministry.  Having helped with Sharathon's in the past at YNOP I have come to know and love the heart of those here. The singular focus of this staff and management is to get our listeners closer to God.  That's something I am excited about, and that's why I'm most grateful to be a part of the ministry.

I hope you enjoy what you hear. But I'm more interested in you hearing Jesus through the words and songs on YNOP. If that happens, I'll consider my time here to be a success.
