Ron Huckeby, Chief Engineer
Title: Network Technical Director
What I do: As I was told years ago: “Broadcast Engineers—Transmitters to Toilets, We do it all!” My current job with YNOP has evolved into maintaining or supervising the maintenance of all transmitting sites (over 40 now); consulting and assisting with studio construction and upgrades; some computer support and maintenance; new installation planning; and FCC paperwork management and filing. I drive about 30,000 miles a year for YNOP. I am so thrilled that God sovereignly landed me in Christian radio beginning with the dream of a station in Butte, MT in 1983 changed and evolved over the years to how I serve YNOP today.Time at YNOP: I began contract engineering for YNOP in about 1993 when KVCM was first on the air. I was in Havre in 1994 when the satellite uplink went on the air and had the privilege of building the new KXEI studios in 1996 when the network on-air operations were based in Havre, Montana. While I still have some other broadcast clients around Montana, YNOP has become pretty much a full time job by itself.

Hobbies: Auto repair (keeping my family’s fleet of well used vehicles running—over a million miles between the 7 of them!); remodeling and improving our home (dad, are you ever gonna get the other bathroom finished?); helping maintain our church facility; and visiting friends all over the state as I travel to maintain the YNOP network.
