This book has created a spiritual renewal by taking newcomers and old-timers alike back to the original A.A. program that produced a 75% recovery rate from alcoholism. The first edition sold out in less than eight months. The second edition was modified based upon the experiences of the first 100 Back to Basics groups and an A.A. General Service Office review of the book.

How To Listen To God - The Book

In this book, the author describes his past four years traveling with James H., the 100 year old member of the Oxford Group who was the last living link to the spiritual roots of the Twelve Step Programs.

Back to the Basics of Recovery - The Book

This 128 page book is a companion for the Back to the Basics of Recovery Meeting Leader Guide, which is a 2015 version of the 1946 Back to Basics A.A. Beginners' Meetings. The book has been specifically rewritten for use in treatment centers, aftercare facilities, half-way houses, recovery homes, correctional facilities, and Twelve-Step meetings. The book has been modified to apply to all addictive and compulsive behaviors and all "Big Book" passages are gender neutral.

The book contains all the materials necessary to take the Twelve Steps "quickly and often," and it is a program for "anyone or everyone interested in a (new) way of life."

Back to Basics - The Program

The Back to Basics program continues to evolve. Based on what has been observed and/or described at the various Meetings and Groups throughout the world, Wally P. has seen a pattern emerge. Back to the Basics of Recovery - The Program

2015 version of the 1946 Back to Basics A.A. Beginners' Meetings, specifically rewritten for use in treatment centers, aftercare facilities, half-way houses, recovery homes, correctional facilities, and Twelve-Step meetings. PowerPoint slides are available to enhance the recovery experience.

This 150 page, three-ring binder contains all the materials necessary to take people through the Twelve Steps in four, forty-five minute sessions. This Meeting Leader Guide has been modified to apply to all addictions / compulsive behaviors. This is truly a program for "anyone or everyone interested in a (new) way of life."
